Student Visa from Nigeria to Luxembourg
- Nigerians who are looking to pursue educational courses in Luxembourg for more than 90 days will have to obtain a student visa.
- The Luxembourg student visa is a long-term visa granted to students who have already been accepted for admission by a recognized higher educational institute in Luxembourg.
- The student visa must be obtained before entry into the country.
- Before you apply for Luxembourg student visa, you must obtain a ‘temporary authorization to stay’ by applying to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg. This temporary authorization to stay is valid for a period of 90 days only. You will have to apply for your student visa within this 90 day period.
- To be eligible for a Luxembourg student visa, you must provide proof of being enrolled as a full-time student in one of Luxembourg’s institutions for higher education.
- You must also provide proof of full payment of tuition fee for the course. Your medical insurance must cover the total number of days you will be staying in Luxembourg as a student The insurance must be valid for all Schengen countries for a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
- Students are required to have 500 Euros monthly to cover their finances.
- A proof of accommodation should be submitted. This could be either a dormitory contract (signed between you and an official of a dormitory in the country where you will be staying) or rent Agreement (a contract with a property owner in this Schengen state, specifying the address and other information details about the facility and landlord).
