Medical Visa from Nigeria to Germany
- The Medical Visa is issued to foreign nationals who have the intention of seeking and receiving medical treatment in the country.
- A medical certificate issued by the treating medical institution in Nigeria detailing the nature of the applicant’s illness and the reason treatment will be best gotten in Germany is required.
- A written confirmation of the applicant’s appointment with the medical doctor in Germany should be provided.
- The estimated duration of the treatment of the applicant’s illness should be stated in the letter from the medical doctor in Germany.
- Proof of advance payment of the medical fee is required.
- Applicants with incomplete applications will be refused this visa.
- If the applicant is employed, a letter from the applicant’s employer is required. The letter should introduce the applicant and state confirmation of leave.
- Visa applications of minors are possible only if accompanied by a person entitled to custody.
- Minors are expected to present a copy of their birth certificate during the visa application process. A consent letter from both parents is also required.
