Work Visa from Nigeria to Egypt
- Unlike countries with a separate work visa category, foreigners who intend to work in Egypt must simply apply for a work permit.
- The application process may be rigorous and time-consuming.
- The first step of applying for an Egyptian work permit is obtaining the application form from the nearest Ministry of Manpower and Training Office.
- Because work permit applications require the participation of the foreigner's employer, it is not possible to obtain a work permit without a solid job offer from an employer in Egypt.
- Your employer will need to submit a memorandum explaining why it is necessary to hire a foreigner rather than a qualified Egyptian citizen.
- A copy of test showing you are free of HIV/AIDs is also needed.
- Another essential item is an approval from Egypt’s State Security Service showing that you are not a threat to national security or public safety.
- This can be obtained through a division at the Ministry of Manpower and Training office.
- Finally, you will need to pay a registration fee of about $60 to complete the process.
