Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Bulgaria
- This is the type of visa issued to persons who intend to visit Bulgaria for tourism purposes. You can also visit family and friends while on this visa.
- All visitors to Bulgaria must carry a valid passport.
- Visa applicants need to submit an invitation letter from a family member or host living in Bulgaria. This letter should clearly state the address and contact details of the host, as well as your relationship with them.
- During the visa application, you will need to provide proof of sufficient funds to last the duration of your stay.
- Applicants may also be required to submit a document that shows they have the incentive of returning to their country at the expiry of the visa.
- You are advised to exit the country before your visa expires.
- Proof of yellow fever vaccination is also required.
- This visa does not serve study purposes. You cannot be enrolled in any of the institutions of learning in the country.
- The applicant must provide photocopies of the original passport and ID card, including copy of all visas(valid and expired).
- Applicants of the Bulgarian tourist visa will need to gather the following:
- A duly filled and signed Bulgaria tourist visa application form.
- Original, signed Nigeria passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- A passport style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months.
- Photocopies of your passport and ID card.
- A copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.
- A copy of a recent bank statement showing proof of sufficient funds (at least $60 per day).
- Copy of confirmed hotel reservations.
- Working people will need to provide a letter from their employer/school (on business letterhead, with contact details), stating that a leave of absence has been granted and that they will be returning to their current job.
- If you are self-employed, include a copy of your business license and tax return. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.
- If being invited to Bulgaria by friends or family, you must provide a letter confirming this.
- The letter must include the contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date.
- You will also need to provide proof of the host's status in Bulgaria i.e., a copy of their Bulgaria passport's information page, or, if they are not a citizen of Bulgaria, copies of their Bulgaria residence permit and their national passport's information pages.
- If you will be receiving financial support from a host or other sponsor in Bulgaria, please provide a copy of that individual's bank statement.
- Also note that the invitation letter from your host should specifically state the types of support they will be providing you (financial, accommodations, etc).
