Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Belize
- A Belize tourist visa allows Nigerians to travel to Belize for tourism or family visit.
- A visa does not guarantee entry into Belize; it is at the immigration officers’ discretion to allow entry into the country.
- Applicants are advised to start processing their visa well in advance of their travel — sometimes the processing time could take up to one month.
- All visitors must travel to Belize on a valid passport (non-expired). The passport must be valid for no less than six months after the intended period of stay in Belize.
- Unlike Nigerians, citizens of South Africa, Tunisia, Morocco do not require a visa to enter Belize as a tourist for a period of up to 30 days.
- In order to stay longer than 30 days as a tourist (not for paid or unpaid work) an Extension of Stay application must be submitted whilst in Belize at any of the Immigration Offices.
- It is best to submit an application at least 2 – 3 days before the 30 days period expires.
- This incurs a fee of BZ $100.
- Visas for work, both paid and unpaid, are only issued in Belize, and cannot be processed outside the country.
- Single-day cruise ship travelers do not require a visa for Belize.
- Visa applications can be made in person or by post. An electronic copy of your application and all supporting documents must be emailed to [email protected].
- Each individual, regardless of age, must make a separate application. All applicants will be notified once a decision has been made.
- All fees paid during a visa application are non-refundable and this is independent of whether visa is approved or denied.
