Unique Cities To Visit In Nigeria

Nigeria has 36 states including the capital, Abuja. These states are unique in their own way, but we would like to point out a few cities that are quite different from the others. It’s not that these cities are better, but there is something about them that visitors can always point out when they leave. These four cities have different stories to tell, and each of their stories can always be heard all over the country. Do you know about these four cities? We have listed them in no particular order.
Abuja
Yes, we know it’s the capital of Nigeria, but it is very different. If you are coming from rowdy cities to Abuja, there is this strange calmness that grips you. The streets are well planned, houses are uniform, and fences aren’t as high as typical Nigerian fences. The way cities are named after zones make it easy for visitors to find their way around. However, the city can get really pricey and could hurt your pocket if you’re not careful.
Jos
Jos is different with its cool weather loved by foreigners. It also has some temperate fruits and foods grown outside the shores of Africa. Little wonder, the colonial masters chose it as one of their homes when they conquered Nigeria. It is fondly called ‘J-Town’. Luxury and affluence quickly blends with the lifestyle of the people. There are a lot of things to do in this town. Nightlife is booming in Jos. There are a lot of entertaining hotspots where you can listen to live bands or professional DJs play popular songs for you. You are free to roam the night from one club to another. However, we must tell you that sometimes, there may be a curfew which must be obeyed.
Lagos

Aba
Popularly referred to as the Enyimba City, Aba has this untidiness attached to it. A lot of people love this city because of its cheapness, and some are wary of the things they buy here because of the creativity of its natives. Fake products aren’t a scarcity, thus the coined phrase – ‘Aba made’. Everything is so affordable compared with rates from other cities.
