Some places in Nigeria are simply unbelievable because of where they are located, what they stand for and the things you see in such places. It is not all the beautiful tourist sites in Nigeria that are going to look like the Obudu Mountain Resort. Places like the Igbo Olodumare in Akure can be a mystic place to visit. We took our time in searching for some places that would stun you when you see at first sight:

Igbo Olodumare

Igbo Olodumare is the first on our list, located in Oke Igbo that is near Ile-Oluji. The thick forest would give your heart a little skip. This evergreen vegetation is where you would find some fascinating things about this place. It was once believed and people still believe that some spirits and demons have their homes here. You can come here for your film shooting, camping, bird watching and picnic. The landscape is beautiful and the things you may see would give you that excitement that you must have been missing all the while you have been working in the office.

Agia tree monument

In the ancient city of Badagry once laid this Agia Tree. Religious folks come here to see the first place where some missionaries came to talk about Christianity immediately they arrived in the country. The tree may no longer be seen but the spot where this tree was once standing has become a place to see in Badagry. You can come and see what this place looks like.

Anwase-Abande Ranges

Not a lot of things have been said of Anwase-Abande Ranges. Most of us may not have heard about this place. This range is located in a place called Kwande that is at the Nigerian-Cameroon border. The weather here is temperate with scenic hills, forests, valleys and streams that flow freely. You would love the quietness and the wildlife activities.

Olowo’s Palace

We know that you must have seen palaces in Nigeria but the Olowo’s Palace is different from what you may have seen in the country. It is the largest palace that you would see in Western Nigeria, stretching over a 100 hectare of land. It once had more than 100 courtyards but today, only 17 of these ancient courtyards are still standing.

Abakaliki green lake

We like crystal clear waters but seeing a green lake is something that may blow our minds. This green lake is located in Abakaliki, popularly referred to as the Abakaliki Green Lake. It was one the resting place for the Colonial Masters. It has been re-beautified to stand out among lakes in Nigeria.
