Madam Tinubu Shrine

Madam Tinubu was the first female high chief or the Iyalode of Egbaland. She was a rich and influential woman. She once got into a dispute that involved two Obas in the city of Lagos. The shrine at Iberekodo where one would see water coming out of the ground is named after her.

The people of Ijebu-Ode have an annual festival called Ojude Oba Festival that is held a few days after Eid-El-Kabir. During this festival – which is up there among the biggest festivals in West Africa, the traditional ruler of Ijebu ode is greatly honoured.

Lisabi Sacret Forest is regarded as a very sacred place by many persons. It is bounded in the south by a stream called Tegbelu Stream, and in the west by another river called Ogun River. This forest is a thick forest that has a lot of endangered animals and there are various birds species in the area too.

The Omo Forest Reserve has not been tampered with by man. This is a tropical lowland rainforest that has become a home of thousands of plant species.  It is among the most productive vegetation regions in Nigeria and it attracts thousands of visitors to it yearly.
