Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) is situated at Lagos Island, Nigeria. TBS is the most popular event centre in Lagos, hosting hundreds of national and international social/religious events every year. The square features an imposing entrance gate with four giant white horses and seven red eagles suspended above the gateway. The horses and the eagles on the gate are national symbols which represents Nigeria’s strength on land and in the air.
The venue boasts of multi functional and flexible areas capable of making one’s event a huge success. Tafawa Balewa Square is also a home to other tourist attractions in Lagos like the multipurpose Onikan Stadium and the Nigerian National Assembly building. A short walk from the square you’ll find the National Museum and the 26-storey Independence House, which at one time was the tallest building in Nigeria.
