Piazza.

Piazza, easily mistaken for Pizza, is one of places in Port Harcourt to purchase the meal. There are many pizza-hungry folk in Port Harcourt and with good wind; you’ll meet a good number of them here.

Located in the new GRA, or Phase II – where many of the other cool joints are – Piazza is not just about pizzas. The spot has three different sections, one that handles only pizza, so if you just want to grab a number and go off they will cater to you, another is part of the restaurant, with waiters, and yet another – higher than the rest, probably to give it that extra touch – that allows smoking. The same rates operate in both of the latter sections.

What makes this place special is how italian-style the pizza is, and a lot of the foreign residents in Port Harcourt visit here because of this. Piazza is chiefly a bar with drinks, menus and all the like. Friday nights are hectic here, especially just after work, as people are coming in here for a meal with friends (and drinks) before they rush off home or to club. Also, there is a swimming pool behind for only bar purposes; most people throw parties here, but if not (or if the party is not exclusive), people can hang around the swimming pool and even swim while having fun. The only slight is that being in Port Harcourt ,the drinks may have higher prices than normal, but it’s still worth it. If you want to hang out with your friends in a quiet part of the GRA, Piazza is where you should go.

Cab drivers are your next-best friends if you’re new in Port Harcourt, they are loyal and can pick you up anywhere for an agreed price, and there is no shortage of taxis in and around the GRA especially as Okadas are banned in the city. If you’re driving, good; Piazza has an ample parking space and adequate security
