Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSE: NAS), trading as Norwegian, is a Norwegian low-cost airline that is the third largest low-cost carrier in Europe, the largest airline in Scandinavia, and the ninth-largest airline in Europe in terms of passenger numbers. Norwegian Air offers special to travellers with peculiar situations in order to help them have a smooth flight.
Services for ?travellers with Vision impairment
Norwegian Air encourage travellers that are visually impaired to specify their situation while booking so that they could prepared for. Booking should be done at least 48 hours before the flight. They also advised to check in at the?check-in counter at least one hour before departure, so that?any extra details could be managed. Travellers with vision impairment should arrive for boarding 30 minutes before departure to make sure they've got lots of time to board the flight and get settled on the aircraft. Norwegian air cabin crew and airport representatives are always available to make sure that the traveller is up-to-date with information and to ensure that travellers?trip is easy and hassle-free. Service dogs are also allowed as long as they comply with the pet regulations of Norwegian Air.
Services for Elderly travellers
The airline accepts wheelchair assistance requests, as long as they ?are tendered at least 48 hours before departure. Also, they allow personal electric wheel chairs to be travelled with. The airline also has to be informed, and the wheel chair also has to meet the specification for that flight.
There are no size or weight restrictions when travelling to/from the U.S., but for all other flights the electric wheelchair must not exceed 140 x 114 x 85 cm (L x W x H), with a maximum weight of 200 kg.
There's also a limit on how many electric wheelchairs we can accept on certain flights, so it's best to book as early as possible.
Travellers?can bring their?wheelchair or mobility aid in addition to their?checked baggage allowance at no extra cost.
If passenger is?travelling to/from the U.S., they can bring an unlimited number of mobility aids or wheelchairs for personal use. Passengers?travelling to/from any other country aside from the U.S., can also bring up to two mobility aids or wheelchairs for your personal use.
Wheelchair accessible toilets
On flights to and from the U.S., Thailand and Singapore operated by the Dreamliner, the aircraft has one fully wheelchair accessible toilet. On all of the other flights, there are toilets that are partially wheelchair accessible.
Services for travellers with Hearing impairment
Norweguan Air has airport staff and cabin crew available for travellers who are hearing impaired. They offer priority booking, and they have facilities that visually display information. They also allow passengers in these category to communicate with them in writing. It is best that travellers that need this special assistance specify theri need during booking, and arrive the airport early for check in.
Services of a Safety Assistant
Customers that cannot travel alone due to health challenges are allowed a safety assistant. This assistant must be above 16 years and must pay an adult seat at an adult fare. The assistant is only allowed to tend to one passenger throughout that flight. The safety assistant is expected to do the following:
- Unfasten passenger's seat belt
- retrieve and fit passenger's life vest
- reach an emergency exit unaided
- fit an oxygen mask
- understand safety instructions given by the cabin crew (either verbally or visually)

Norwegian Air shuttle provides online check in option for their travellers. They can check in online for most of the flights within Europe from 24 hours before their flight.
TRAVELLING WITH PETS
Norwegian Air allows pets to be transported as cargo or in the cabin. The allowed pets are cats and dogs.
Pets in the cargo
Cost to transport pets in the cargo: 48 - 70 EUR (online) 60 - 84 EUR (airport), per animal, each way.
Cats and dogs are allowed to travel in the cargo hold on the following flights:
- Flights between Schengen countries .
- Flights to/from Svalbard (dogs only).
- Connecting flights - only in Norway. Cats and dogs can travel in the cargo hold on connecting flights within Norway (excluding to/from Svalbard) via Oslo Gardermoen, Bergen Flesland and Trondheim V?rnes. The transfer time between flights must be longer than 1 hour and shorter than 2 hours.
Up to two pets can travel in the same crate if they're well acquainted. They must be at least 8 weeks old and be of a similar size (maximum weight: 14 kg per animal). If pets don't meet these requirements, they must be transported in separate cages or kennels.
Pets in the cabin
Cost to transport your pet in the cabin: 48 - 70 EUR (online) 60 - 84 EUR (airport), per animal, each way.
Small cats or dogs can travel in the cabin on domestic flights in Norway (Svalbard excluded), Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Spain.
Up to two pets in the cabin per flight (up to three very small puppies or kittens travelling in the same container may be booked as one animal). They must be at least 8 weeks old to be able to travel.
TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN
Infant Ticket
Norwegian Air regard passengers under 2 years as Infants. These infants are allowed to seat on an adult's lap, but are expected to buy infant tickets. There is no hand baggage allowance for infant tickets, but adult?can bring a reasonable amount of baby food and milk/formula for the flight.
Norwegian Air regard passengers between 2 years and 11 years as children. The child is expected to purchase a child ticket. If the child ticket is purchased, the child can bring the amount of hand baggage and checked baggage that their ticket type allows.
Discounts for infants (under 2 years)
On domestic flights, infants seated on adults lap travel free of charge, provided they're under 2 years on the date of their return flight or single flight, if travelling one way. For domestic flights within Spain, airport taxes will be applied.
On international flights, infants seated on adults?lap travel on an infant ticket, at 10% of the adult fare plus any airport taxes, provided they are under 2 years on the date of their return flight or single flight (if travelling one way).
The infant discount does not apply to Premium and PremiumFlex tickets.
Discounts for children (2 to 11 years)
Children aged between 2 to 11 years on the date of their return flight or single flight (if travelling one way) travel on a child ticket, at 75% of the adult fare, plus any airport taxes.
The child discount does not apply to Premium and PremiumFlex tickets or to LowFare tickets in our lowest price categories (e.g. campaign prices).

Children 12 years and older pay the full adult fare.
Travelling as an unaccompanied minor
The Unaccompanied Minor Service is offered to minors who should not travel alone. Norwegian Air staff help?the child board and get settled on the aircraft. The friendly cabin crew look after them on the flight and?make sure that they are delivered to the right person at their destination.
Who can fly as an unaccompanied minor
Unaccompanied minor service can be booked for children if they?re between 5 to 15 years of age. If the child is under 5 years, then they are too young to travel as an unaccompanied minor. If they?re over 15, then they?ll have to travel as an adult.
It is mandatory for children aged 5 to 11 years to travel as an unaccompanied minor if they're travelling alone or without an adult (16 years or over).
It is optional for children aged 12 to 15 years travelling alone to use our Unaccompanied Minor Service. If they are not booked on this service, they will travel independently.
Children are to come along with documentation stating who will pick them up at the destination airport, the accommodation for their stay and contact information for parents/legal guardian.
The cost is?30 GBP per child, each way.

Delayed Baggage
Once a baggage does not arrive on the same flight as the traveller, it is expected that a complaint?is made to the?airport representatives immediately. Norwegian Air then offers the traveller?a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with a unique file reference (e.g. OSLDY12345). This should be kept safe as it is used to track delayed baggage online. The airport representatives coordinate the search for the bag within 5 days.
After 5 days,The Norwegian Air?Baggage Department takes over the search from the airport.
if the??bag isn?t found after 21 days, a claim for missing baggage can be submitted.
