The Nigeria Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference (NHTIC) is an annual international event which aims at bringing together the major players of the Nigerian hotel and tourism industry  to chart the way to promoting the hotel and tourism business and related real estate projects in Nigeria and the West African region. Nigeria, which is Africa’s biggest economy and the fastest growing in the world, has recently been recognized as the country with the highest Average Room Rate (AVR) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and thus is a valuable investment option for interested parties in the hotel business and real estate sector.

The conference for 2015 would be a three (3) day affair consisting of panel sessions, briefings and breakout sessions. Themes for discussion would include: identification and critical examination of the profitability of tourism locations around the country, including how they can be accessed; discussions on the tourism regulatory framework and its complexities if any; and provision of insight to policy makers on the favourable policies for investment and their central role in the development process.

Date

The conference would be holding on 25th November – 27th November, 2015.

Venue

This year (2015), NHTIC would be holding at the Intercontinental Hotel, Plot 52, Kofo Abayomi street, Victoria Island Lagos state, Nigeria.

Organizers

The organizers of this year’s conference include Jonel Hospitality Consulting in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation and Woodstarhotels.com. Correspondence is detailed through Brian Efa, Managing Partner of Jonel Hospitality Consulting.

Benefits for attendees

Delegates at the conference would learn a lot about the current acceptable trends in the industry, as well as expected developments in the near future. This would enable interested parties; hotel owners, tourism agencies and experts to understand where future opportunities lie and where to meet the right partners and team members to build partnerships that would lead to increased business opportunities. Discussions would also be centred on development of further tourism projects in Nigeria and West Africa with opportunities for shared ownership.

Investors and developers in the hotel, tourism and hospitality sector would also have opportunities to be pitched ideas for eventual management or investment. It would also serve as an opportunity for ideas to be pitched by attending entrepreneurs and for participants to network. The Nigeria Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference 2015 promises to be the most important event for the hotel and tourism sector in Nigeria and West Africa this year and all interested parties should make a deal to be present.
