Must Visit Places in Nigeria On Vacation

What do you think is the best place you have ever visited in Nigeria? A lot of us must have forgotten there are so many other exotic places to visit besides popular places such as Obudu Mountain Resort. Surprisingly, a lot of Nigerians have not visited most of these places we’re going to mention – even the ones are close to them. There’s no need visiting other countries to explore the beauty of their tourism when we have it all here in Nigeria.

NOK Village

Over the years, the Nok Village has become a place where pre-historic development meets civilization. This is where you can see the world famous Nok culture. This culture is believed to have started over 2,500 years ago. When you come here, you are opportune to see the excavations by archeologists.  Nok village is located in Kaduna State. You can see weapons of war, heads of animals. and the Terra Cotta used in exhibitions.

Anwase-Abande Ranges

Have you heard of the Anwase-Abande Ranges? This is the more reason why you should consider visiting it. Here, the weather is temperate, there are hills, scenic valleys, forests, and flowing streams. The Anwase-Abande Ranges are situated in Kwande local government area. This is at the Nigerian-Cameroon border, and it also shares its boundary with the Obudu-Cameroon range. Here, you are in for a good time as you camp and picnic surrounded by stunning views.

The Ugele Hills

Ekiti State is blessed with a lot of tourist sites. The Ugele Hills is one place that you cannot afford to miss when you want to move around. It has a cave that is deep inside these hills that can accommodate up to a thousand people at the same time. In the past, this space was used for local wrestling competition. The locals come here to worship the Ugele yearly when they are celebrating the new yam festival.

Abakaliki Green Lake

Thinking of leisure and relaxation? The Abakaliki Green Lake is the perfect place to be. It was once a place where the colonial administrators come to relax. Today, this place has been refurnished to look better and also support the Ebonyi State’s tourism board in attracting people to the state.

Ezeagu Tourist Complex

The Ezeagu Tourist Complex has a waterfall, lake and cave making it a must visit destination in the country. Ezeagu Tourist Complex is about 30 minutes away from Enugu. The Obinofia Cave is breathtaking and has different interconnected tunnels linked to the big chambers.
