We cannot deny the fact that Nigerians are good at preparing their local delicacies. Little wonder we find visitors ask they are served particular meals when they come to the country instead of the regular rice eaten all over the world.  Where do you think you can get the most delicious delicacy in Nigeria? This is one question you may not be able to answer perfectly, because every tribe has mouthwatering food.

Miyan Kuka And Tuwo Shinkafa

Visit the northern part of the country, and you can taste of Miyan Kuka soup during dinner. It is usually served with Tuwo Shinkafa. This doesn’t mean you can’t experiment and serve it with pounded yam, semo, fufu or eba.  

Amala And Ewedu Soup

The Yorubas love amala and ewedu soup so much that it is never missing from the menu at any big traditional event. Anyone coming to the western part of the country can devour this sumptuous meal when it is served. Today, this meal is gradually making its way to other parts of the country. Eba And Egusi Soup

Egusi soup has crossed over to other tribes in Nigeria since the people of the east started preparing it at their local joints around the country. It is one of the best meals served in many eateries across the country. You can eat egusi with fufu, eba, semovita, or pounded yam. Most people take it during lunch, or even dinner.

Afang Soup

There is no part of the country where this soup is not loved by the guests. However, if you really want to enjoy afang soup, come to the south-south states like Cross River and Akwa ibom states where the people specialize in this delicacy. It is irresistible and very affordable. The appearance of the vegetable and numerous meats and fishes make it mouthwatering.

White Soup And Pounded Yam

Nsala soup is another name for white soup that originated from riverine areas. This hot and sizzling meal will leave you asking for more.  It is a popular meal that has found its way to many homes in Nigeria. You can eat nsala with eba, fufu, semo or pounded yam.

Banga Soup

Finally, we have banga soup that most people call ‘ofe akwu’. This is a native soup that the south east people, and the Niger Delta people made famous. The soup looks appealing, and its taste will completely live up to your taste bud expectations.
