Not all the cities blare loudly like Lagos in Nigeria. For those looking for cities that are not overpopulated and great to visit, then we have what you are looking for. Some of these cities have some of the finest nightclubs, tourist sites, and places to eat local meals.Â
Owerri
Our first city, Owerri, has a famous soup called ‘Ofu Owerri’ named after it. Owerri is the capital of Imo State, but this is not the real gist of the city. Once upon a time, Owerri was less regarded when it came to beautiful cities in Nigeria, until it had a makeover transformation that is still ongoing.  It is already slightly behind Lagos and Port Harcourt in terms of organization and beautification.  The many tertiary institutions around the city make it an intellectual city. You are not going to have any challenges communicating with the locals, because almost everyone understands English.
Benin
Benin has this friendly scenario that is blessed with artifacts, sculptures and cultural decorations. The local attire of the people is classic, and their way of life is amazing. It is a safe city, and there are fewer crowds to contend with unlike other cities. You are going to love the city because it simply commands respect to itself.
Akure
What are you going to do in Akure? There are so many things that command respect in this city where people with different religious backgrounds peacefully coexist. The tourism industry is very rich – the main reason why it is a great place to visit. There is this peace that hovers around the city. Although they communicate mainly in Yoruba, you will not find it difficult to blend with the locals.
Enugu
When it comes to beauty, Enugu would always stand out in the country. When it comes to tourism, there are waterfalls, gardens, caves, hills, and lots more for you to visit. There is hardly anything you’re missing when you come to Enugu. Those who reside in Enugu are not thinking of relocating to any part of the country because of the lifestyle they’re used to. Enugu is an important city in the Eastern part of the country with its relics and history proudly shown in its museums.
Osogbo
Osogbo is synonymous with dyeing. The capital of Osun State is the home to people like Nollywood pioneer, Duro Ladipo, and other prominent men and women in Nigeria. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to live a luxury life in Osogbo. It is not as vibrant as Port Harcourt, but it has a distinct groove you might not easily resist.
