Lagos State Fire Service - Contact Information
In a previous post on how to cope with Harmattan, I pointed out that this is a season when people are most prone to have fire incidents at their homes or offices. Pretty sure you would have noticed more cases of fire incidents have come up in recent times.
Your first response when you detect a fire incident around your neighbourhood is to place a call to the State's Fire Service - along with other self protective measures you can take. Do not attempt to fight the fire - as some are wont to do with buckets of water and whatnot. The Fire Service staff are better equipped and trained for that. Get yourself to a safe place and make the call.
This post is about informing you about the usefulness of the State's fire service. Yeah, they do exist - it's not everyday you see a fire incident, so all arguments are therefore declared mute.

The Lagos State Fire service has been in operation since 1972 and has its headquarters at the State Secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja. It has 14 other office locations across the State, to make for effective coverage of the entire State. The offices are listed below:
