Kano: Bomb Rocks City A Day After Yola Blast

KANO, NIGERIA – According to the Premium Times, twin bomb explosions have just rocked Kano state.

Mohammed Ahmed, a reporter for the paper, said: “explosions have gone off at the GSM market around farm centre. I am rushing to the scene.”

As to the actual details of the bombing in Kano, there is very little that can be currently verified.

Kano Bombing: First in a (Relatively) Long Time

Kano Command spokesperson could not be reached presently for comments.

According to an eyewitness, the first explosion rocket the market entrance of the state and the second took out the pavilion in the centre of the state. Following this, two vans were loaded with bodies of the victims and frantically driven away.

This is the first attack on Kano since July six, happening barely a day after a similar explosion took out the crowded park in Yola, Adamawa state.
