Namaste! Thus said, you probably already have an idea of the kind of restaurant I am about to give you information on… Or not? Okay, for those of you who aren’t quite familiar with foreign languages, “Namaste” is a greeting in Indian. So yes, for your hot and spicy fantastic Indian meals, Indigo restaurant is the place to go.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with that “Indian feel” all around, also with cobalt blue LED lights in the shrubbery around the terracotta building, very beautiful indeed. Lovely pieces of art can also been seen hung on the walls in the restaurant.

On getting seated in the restaurant, customers are presented with a long menu(“very long”, as this menu is actually 20 inches long) that is so attractive and creative, you can only expect the dishes to be just as attractive and creative.

The menu offers an extensive selection of the most perfectly prepared spicy delicacies.

From stewed lamb, garlic naan to fresh prawns cooked in whatever sauce of your choice amongst other wonderful dishes that you might have a hard time pronouncing the names if you are not very familiar with the Indian language, Indian food lovers(especially spice lovers) will have a field day here.

Vegetarians are well catered to here also, as there are several meals available for their satisfaction. Customers also have the opportunity to watch a traditional Indian cooking method called “Pit-cooking”; the chefs can be seen behind a glass window dipping meat in marinade and then rearranging it on a long kabob spear and putting the spear back into the pit.

A variety of classy alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served alongside these awesome meals.

The waiters are very efficient and act as your “Dosti”(this means friend in Indian, one of the only Indian words I know so I had to show off). The lovely building that houses Indigo restaurant is located at 242B, Muri Okunola Street, Eti Osa, Victoria Island, Lagos State. Indigo is a top restaurant, serving you meals that will make you fall in pyaar(“love”, this is me showing off again, pardon me).

Several international languages can sometimes be heard all around the restaurant as many ex-pats who find themselves in the city of Lagos pay frequent visits to restaurants such as this one. Business meals, romantic dates, friendly hang outs; all of this and more are the sort of gatherings that can be held at Indigo.
