Imo: Three-Man Gang Butchers Poly Student For 'Wealth'

In Imo state, a 24-year old final year civil engineering student (of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Imo State) has been brutally murdered by a 3-man gang.

Innocent Ndukwe, according to the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, was slaughtered by a gang that did it so they could steal his Pathfinder Sports Utility Vehicle (reg. no. KRD 109 BP), two plasma TV sets, one home theatre and other personal effects.

Taiwo said: “soon after getting credible information about the heinous act, the police control room quickly alerted operations of the command and they immediately searched the entire state.

‘’As a result, the assailants, who tried to escape the eagle-eyed operatives, were subsequently apprehended along West End-Old Nekede Road, Owerri.”

Lakanu said that Nigerians need to be more security conscious, and that they should have the police phone numbers with them at all times. He advised people to be very cautious when employing so-called security men.
