About Qatar

Qatar is a peninsular Arab country to the east of Saudi Arabia, East of Bahrain and West of the Emirates. Its terrain comprises arid desert and a long Persian (Arab) Gulf shoreline of beaches and dunes. Doha is its capital and is known for its futuristic skyscrapers and other ultramodern architecture inspired by ancient Islamic design. Example of such is the limestone Museum of Islamic Art. Its official language is Arabic, and its currency is the Qatari riyal (QAR).
