Requirements

If you are visiting the UK for business activities, you can apply for a standard visitor's visa which is valid for up to 6 months. These are the requirements.

  1. Fees: A Standard Visitor visa costs £87;

  2. Evidence showing you’ll leave the UK at the end of your visit;

  3. Evidence showing you’re able to support yourself and any dependents for the duration of your trip;

  4. Evidence showing you’re able to pay for your return or onward journey and any other costs relating to your visit;

  5. Evidence showing you have proof of any business or other activities you want to do in the UK, as allowed by the Visitor Rules;

  6. A current passport or other valid travel identification;

  7. Bank statements or payslips from the last 6 months;

  8. You need a page in your passport that’s blank on both sides for your visa. Your passport must be valid for the whole of your stay in the UK;

  9. You will also need to provide the following:

    1. the dates you’re planning to travel to the UK
    2. details of where you’ll be staying during your visit
    3. how much you think your trip will cost
    4. your current home address and how long you’ve lived there
    5. your parents’ names and dates of birth
    6. how much you earn in a year
  10. Additional details that might be required include:

    1. details of your travel history for the past 10 years (as shown in your passport)
    2. your employer’s address and telephone number
    3. your partner’s name, date of birth, and passport number
    4. the name and address of anyone paying for your trip
    5. the name, address and passport number of any family members you have in the UK
    6. details of any criminal, civil or immigration offences you have committed
  11. A visa application form completed online;

  12. You’ll need to have your fingerprints and photograph (known as ‘biometric information’) taken at a visa application centre as part of your application.
