How Nigerians Can Get a Visa to Jamaica

Jamaica is an island country in the Caribbean Sea, it is the third-largest island of the Greater Antilles. The island covers 10,990 square kilometres, thereby making Jamaica the fourth-largest island country in the Caribbean. Tourist attractions include Dunn's River Falls in St. Ann, YS Falls in St. Elizabeth, the Blue Lagoon in Portland.
Jamaica has a tropical climate which supports diverse ecosystems with numerous plants and animals.

This post will describe how Nigerians can get a visa to Jamaica.

Requirements

When applying for a Jamaican entry visa, the following documents must be provided:

  1. A complete Visa Application Form, signed by the applicant;

  2. One passport photograph;

  3. A Valid Passport with a copy of the bio-data page to be submitted in the first instance. The passport must be valid for the period of intended stay in Jamaica;

  4. Flight itinerary and proof of sufficient funds to cover the visit to Jamaica;

  5. The visa fee N2,900, payment is made after the application has been approved;

  6. Copy of transit visa, if applicable;

  7. A letter of invitation from a person or organization in Jamaica or Hotel reservation;

  8. Proof of Financial Status (i.e. current bank statements);

  9. Bank Statement from the individual or organization, if you are being sponsored (Also a letter authorizing you to have them);

  10. An Introductory letter or leave letter from your employer or school and when necessary an ID card;

  11. If self employed, evidence of your business, i.e. registration documents, and bank statements;

  12. Please indicate if an applicant is unemployed or retired;

  13. If sponsored by an individual in Jamaica, evidence of their immigration status (e.g. copy of their passport);

  14. In the case of a business visit, please provide recent evidence of correspondence with the company in Jamaica and letter of invitation;

  15. In the case of student visa, please provide acceptance letter, proof of payment of school fee, and a return ticket;

  16. In the case of minors, a birth certificate must be presented, as well as letter of consent if travelling with a guardian;

  17. A third party collecting passport or any other document for you must present a “Letter of Authorization to act on applicant’s behalf” (signed by you, the applicant, having the bearer’s name and identification number). A copy of the Identification stated in the letter must be attached to the letter.
