How Nigerians Can Get a Visa to Finland

The Republic of Finland, is a country in Europe situated in the area known as Scandinavia with a population of about 5.5 million people.
Its capital is Helsinki. The Northern Lights can be seen from its Arctic Lapland province, also home to the country’s main ski resorts.

You can apply for a Finnish visa depending on the purpose of your visit. The different categories are

Requirements

These are the requirements for a Finnish visa if the primary purpose of your visit is business.

  1. A Schengen visa application form that is duly completed, dated and signed by the applicant before coming to the Embassy;

  2. Original blue bank slip as proof of payment of visa application fee;

  3. An international e-passport which is valid at least three months after the journey;

  4. One (1) recent (not older than 3 months) passport size photograph, coloured on white background taken without headgear. Please, do not staple the photo on the visa application form;

  5. Previous passports, if any;

  6. Copy of flight reservation including return flight;

  7. Original certificate of health and travel insurance issued by an accredited Schengen insurance policy company;

  8. Evidence of sufficient means of subsistence during intended stay: salary slips, personal bank statements for
    the last three months, regular incomes generated by property;

  9. Proof of accommodation for the whole duration of the intended stay: hotel reservations, rental of holiday
    homes or proof of private accommodation (invitation) from the host;

  10. Invitation letter from the company based in Finland;

  11. TCC (Tax Clearance Certificate) and Certificate of Business Incorporation;

  12. Proof of commercial activities in Nigeria and recent business contacts, the continuation of the commercial
    relationship with the company that invites (contracts, invoices, commercial correspondence etc. if applicable);

  13. Please note that at the visa interview the Embassy can request for other additional documents to support individual visa applications
