Four Must-Visit Places During Festive Periods

Some places in Nigeria have become a haven for visitors during any festive period. Reason being that natives in these places understand how to celebrate  their lives to the fullest. There is no saying that you won’t be carried away by activities that would embrace when you come here. A lot of people who come here would tell you that there is nothing as wonderful as spending time in these four places.

Abiriba, Abia State

Abiriba proudly brags about itself because it has outgrown being called a village due to its very fast development and socialization. It is called the ‘Small London’ of Nigeria. This is true because Abiriba is very beautiful and attracts thousands of people to it during any festive period – especially the Christmas. It is one village in Nigeria that has terrible traffic because of the number of people and cars coming into it. You can drink yourself to stupor here, and food is free.

Arochukwu, Abia State

Arochukwu is also in Abia State. The people of Arochukwu are good with tradition. They love their village and would make sure that fun is maintained to its highest level. The people are extremely entertaining during any celebration. They come home in masses to attend traditional rites and other celebrations. You want to have fun during a festive period? Arochukwu is waiting for you, and there is no dull moment here.

Opobo

The water people are simply amazing during the festive period. If you can conquer the fear of moving on water for more than twenty minutes – depending on where you are coming from, then you are in for a great time. There is no land route to Opobo except waterways. There is no need to worry about moving around with cars because there are none. This is a different village filled with fun, and its water activities are legendary. The people know how to use the water to entertain their guests.

Nnewi

Nnewi is one place to visit during the festive period. Bitter leaf soup is tastefully prepared by the natives and would leave you licking your fingers. There are a lot of celebrations during Christmas – especially traditional and white weddings. There are always parties here and there, and the air is filled with the euphoria of celebration that would rub off on you.
