Farin Ruwa

The name “Farin Ruwa†translates as “white waters†in Hausa language, which suggests the typical natural beauty exuded by the waterfalls. It  is undeniably one of the most irresistible sights in Nigeria. It is breath-taking, dropping 200 metres down the mountain, with a roar that compels a visitor and his tour guide to scream in order to be heard. The falls are located in an area of heavy rainfall due
to the mountainous nature of the area. The moisture-bearing winds rise and deposit their moisture content on the mountains.
Farin Ruwa falls are about 120km away from Lafia, Nassarawa State capital and 30km away from Wamba, the Local Government Headquarters.
Farin Ruwa falls are naturally surrounded by thick forest with economic trees that could produce timber at large commercial quantities. The forest is also surrounded by monkeys, baboons, birds, reptiles and different species of animals.
Farin Ruwa falls are unique for its serene environment, the cool weather and the quiet nature of the thick forest surrounded by green vegetation and its rocky nature.
