Destinations For A Guaranteed Great Time in Nigeria

Have you been anywhere in Nigeria that had a lasting effect on you? We know there are a lot of places you can visit across the different states in Nigeria. However, there are places that simply command respect due to where they are situated and their appearance.  We have compiled a list of some of these places for you to explore, and you’ll have a blast moving from one state to another trying to see all these places.
National Theatre
Designed in 1976, the National Theatre is one of Nigeria’s great architectural edifices. It was used for the promotion, presentation and preservation of the country’s culture and arts. This is one of the great places you can visit in the city of Lagos if you want to discover the past.  From afar, the building welcomes you in all its architectural glory. A lot of people come here on vacation with their kids to show them a part of history they never discovered.
Azumini Blue River
The Azumini Blue River has come to be associated with exotic waters in the country. We have seen international visitors come here to have some quiet time. Maybe you have come to love beaches like the Lagos Bar Beach. This is one beach that stands out because of the colour of its water. It is in Azumini, Abia State. It borders both Akwa Ibom and Rivers State.
* Yankari National Park*
Yankari National Park has been reserved for wild beasts like the baboons, waterbucks, crocodiles, duiker, warthogs and hippopotamus. If you your kids only see these animals on television, we think you should bring them here for that memorable moment. The best time you can come here is anytime between November to May. This is when the animals are seen coming towards a river called Gaji River.
Obudu Cattle Ranch
Obudu Cattle Ranch has become what we now know as Obudu Mountain Resort.  This is home to both Nigerians and foreigners who are looking for luxury and comfort.  You can watch the birds, see animals, ride horses, and swim here. This isn’t the only thing this place can offer you. There are adventurous places to walk and hike at this resort in Cross River State.  The temperate weather makes it perfect for all these activities.
* The Long Juju Shrine of Arochukwu*
What is the harm in bringing your friends here to see what happened during the slave trade era. People always come here to experience the current tradition blended with the past.  In those days, a chief priest was in charge of ensuring slaves were successfully initiated before leaving Arochukwu.
