Dangote held hostage in Mali?

BAMAKO, MALI – A BBC report has gone out that gunmen have seized 140 guests and 30 employees at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the capital of Mali, Bamako.

According to the reports, the gunmen entered the building shooting, and yelling ‘Allahu Akbar!’

Policemen have since surrounded the hotel.

Unconfirmed reports say that Nigeria’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, was one of the guests and is – currently- one of the hostages at the hotel.

We will be monitoring the airwaves for confirmation or dismissal of this report, as we hope all 170 people held hostage are safely extracted.

Update on Dangote

It has now been confirmed that Aliko Dangote is not one of the hostages. He is currently safe and in Lagos.
