Christmas isn’t far away, and most of us are yet to plan where to spend the season. If you are not going to the village, which of the Nigerian cities do you think you would visit to celebrate your festive period? Most Nigerians are seen heading to their villages to get married, meet loved ones, celebrate success, or even show off. However, for those who are going to spend time in the town or strangers’ lands, we have listed some cities you may want to visit.
Lagos
Lagos is lively during the festive period. Some of the major roads are beautifully decorated with lights, and there are numerous street parties for you to attend. Lagos is not going to be quiet during the Christmas period, even though there are thousands of people leaving the city. While thousands leave Lagos, we equally see thousands coming in to replace them. You’ve got the malls, restaurants, bars, beaches and public events to make your festive period in Lagos.
Calabar
It is all happening in the city of Calabar. However, between the 26th and 27th December each year, you are in for the biggest carnival in Africa. You cannot miss the thrill – tyou can feel the tempo on the ground, and the excitement in the air. You would not want to leave when the bands begin their dance and march through the city.

The biggest Christmas Carol Choir in the world is here. Every Christmas Eve, a huge number of worshipers coming together for what has become a carol that you cannot stop but appreciate. People come from different parts of the country to witness this amazing carol celebration.
Abuja
Abuja is a little calmer during the festive period, but there is so much to do when you are here for your festivities. There are events that would bring you out of the house to celebrate. The malls are open, the restaurants are going to give you delicious food and the parks would keep you active all day long.

It is always fun in the Garden City. You will find yourself involved in loads of social activities. The water activities would leave you in awe, and the boating regalia is just what you need to make your day. This is why a lot of Nigerians come here to celebrate the festive period.
