Great Place to Eat

Nigerians love Nigerian food. Some people may be surprised about the number of restaurants established to sell food to Nigerians that they can very well cook in their home homes.

So, while an Igbo person may be able to make a mean pot of ogbono soup, sometimes that person may be craving some ekpang nkukwo and will have to go out somewhere to get it.

...especially if you love local dishes

If you’re not really in the mood for continental food and you’re craving something more local but don’t really feel like cooking or you’re on a lunch break from the office and not a magician, fret not! Just next to the Drumstix door, on the far left of the building, is the entrance to Aunt Ajobi’s Kitchen where you can get sizeable portions of Nigerian delicacies still at very affordable prices. If you want some moi-moi, peppered snail, or Edikanikong soup, then this is one of your best options in town.
Aunt Ajobi’s kitchen is a subsidiary of Drumstix Food and Investment, also established in 2008, and the restaurant’s atmosphere is far more relaxed and sophisticated than that of the other Drumstix subsidiaries.

best places to eat in Abuja- Aunt Ajobi Some would describe the place as a modernized “bukka”. The décor looks like they tried to go for an Africanish theme, but didn’t really put their all into it; the booths are set so that there is some feeling of intimacy and privacy, tables are in the center for larger parties, most of the lighting during the day comes in through the glass windows, and the wallpaper is just African enough. You have to go up to the counter to place an order, so I can’t really say much for service.
The crowd doesn’t come like it used to, but that’s understandable with the numerous dining options available in Abuja today. However, you will still find loyal customers of the establishment stop by to enjoy their favorite meals.
