Amazing Places in Nigeria for Kids

Planning excursions for kids can be daunting if you are not sure where to take them to in Nigeria. Now, we know how vibrant kids can be, and most of them – especially the boys, may not want to visit a place that isn’t exciting to them. We can’t take our kids to some tourist destinations simply because of their significance. For example, we cannot take our kids to the national cemeteries or some local shrines, because that might frighten them. It is imperative kids are taken to places they can learn and play at the same time.
The Benin City National Museum
Kids may not find this place as fun to play around, but they can learn a lot here. Be sure that you have guide around who can answer their questions about the exhibitions. The Benin City National Museum has an array of artifacts. These artifacts tell us a lot about the ancient Benin Kingdom, especially the cast iron pieces, bronze figures, and terra cotta.
Abraka Turf and Country Club
The Abraka Turf and Country Club is simply beautiful. It is a great place for family retreats., and it has a savannah adventure kids would love to join. The clear emerald river is pretty, and the excitement of seeing such a place would be evident in any child.  It is located in Delta state, this means you can easily make your way to the Benin City National Museum in Edo State if you still have time.
Jhalobia Recreation Park and Gardens
Kids would not want to leave Jhalobia Recreation Park and Gardens in Lagos. The place is like a dream home where everything is all about them. The environment is spacious for them to run about, there are palms, exotic trees, green lawns, sculptures, waterfalls and lots more for kids.
The National War Museum
Kids these days aren’t aware there was a Civil War in the country once upon a time. To help educate them about the past in the present, they can visit the war museum in Umuahia. There are relics of the war like aircrafts and lots more, and there are three galleries in this museum: the civil war gallery, traditional warfare gallery, and the Armed Forces gallery.
Rojenny Tourist Village
This is a major tourist attraction in Onitsha, Anambra State. People from far and wide come here to spend quality time. There are lots of things kids can do in this village, and the adults are not left out of the fun here.
