Suya – This spicy barbecued meat is made from beef and sold by the Hausas. Some vendors sell suya chicken or fish. Suya is a local spice mix of garlic, cayenne pepper, and salt. The meat is mixed with suya mix, peanut oil, and more salt. A stick of suya costs N200.

Boli – This is a salted plantain (large banana) roasted and served with pepper and peanuts. Some areas of the country serve boli with onion sauce or mackerel fish. Boli also includes roasted yam.
Fried yams – One of the most affordable street snacks in Nigeria. From bus stops to junctions and university gates. It is sold with pepper and onions sauce. A slice of fried yam costs no more than thirty naira.
Starch and Stew – This is rice or pasta topping made with beef stew, beans, and topped with boiled egg. It also is called ponmo by Nigerians.
Moi moi – Moi Moi is made up of beans, crayfish, seasoning, and tomato puree. Moi Moi are usually wrapped with leaves, cellophane bags and small plastic plates at restaurants. It very tasty especially when its made by a great cook.
