I'm tired of you telling me how to run my life what I do and where I go is non of your business. My mom was on the phone with my dad arguing again ,we got to our room in the hotel it looked so creepy It was ment to be an abandoned building instead of a hotel. I dropped my bag on the bed and decided to look around. It was the closest we could get thanks to mom and her quest for freedom. "young lady, would keep your bag in the wardrobe?" my mom snapped me out of my thoughts and continued her argument on the phone. My parents had never been the best couple, they always wanted different things which made them argue a lot but they were always civil around me. They got divorced last week. Mom got custody of me and also a chunk of dad's money she then decide we move to enugu to have a little space from dad which did not go down well with Him, Tired from the long journey I decided to take a bath and hit the sack, opening the door to the bathroom which was so ancient , I began to wonder how a messed up and shabby looking place could be called a hotel I was so mad at mom. I turned on the water in the bathtub. Took off my clothes and decided to get a good soak. "hey Ann I'm stepping out for a while I won't be long" I heard the door close behind her, peace at last I thought to myself. Anniee... Anniee...anniee..... "mom are u there?" no answer... I continued in my thoughts, Annie.... Anniee....annieee..., it was jst my imagination I said to myself , Anniee.... Anniee.... Anniee... That was it I flew out of the tub reached out for the towel it wasn't there what the hell I had nothing to hide from my mom, I was so close to the door when it shut itself and was locked, all my efforts to open the door was useless.
This cannot be happening I said to myself thinking that was bad enough, the water in the tub began to fill up and was spilling on the floor I raced to the tub to turn off the tap it wasn't running... This was no ordinary joke, the water was filling the bathroom fast before I knew it the water level was at my neck, I was so scared, I couldn't swim I started jabbing at my skin to wake me out of this dream, who was I kidding tears began to run down my face this was how I was going to die. Mom..... Mom.. Mom... Yet no answer I banged on the door......... nothing. I was doomed, the bath room got filled up and I was engulfed by the water, I couldn't think or breath there was so much water in my nose, eyes and ears,i tried holding my breath and kicking the door.... useless,it was as if the wooden door was converted to a metal one.
This was it I thought, I heard a voice. I turned to see a creature crawling out of the tub it was a girl about my age, she had swollen eyes and her flesh where decayed she was staring at me she wasn't saying a word but it was as if I could hear her thoughts she was crying.. She came closer, I edged backwards until I was stopped by the bathroom door, there was no where to go, she was so close that she could touch me I held my breath I never realize I could hold my breath for that long. She touched me and I could swear I saw death her every touch felt like tiny razors cutting through my flesh she touched every single part of my body until I could no longer feel my flesh, I was so weak I felt life leaving me gradually, then the voice said "go to sleep dear annie " The sound of my mom's weeping woke me up my dad was by her side, I was in the hospital my mom found me Unconscious in the bathroom I was out for two days. They spent the day with me,at night as I was about to fall asleep I heard a familiar voice say" go to sleep dear annie" , my eyes flew wide open.
