Abuja is a well planned city that has its amenities situated at the right places, especially its markets. You may be in a little fix if you don’t quite know the location of the exact market  to suit your particular needs in the city. We hope that this list of markets in the capital city would help you as a guide to deciding which is best for you, given your needs.

Wuse Market

Wuse Market is the busiest market in the city and also the city’s most popular market. This market was a secondary school once, before it was renovated into a world class market. There is hardly anything that you may not be able to buy here.  You can learn how to haggle here with the traders. On weekends, the market is seen to be extremely rowdy. The market opens by 6am and closes by 6pm every day.

Garki International Market

The Garki International market is another popular market that is situated in Garki 2. It is a little larger than Wuse market in land mass and the price of things are relatively cheaper here. This is where you can buy confectioneries and clothing items at a very affordable rate. Just like Wuse Market, you can visit the market around 6am and leave by 6pm.

Kado Fish Market

If you are thinking of where you can buy your frozen food or fish, come to Kado fish market. Another name for this market is Life Camp Market.  There is a wide range of frozen foods and fishes that you can buy here. Fruits, vegetables, including processed seasonings can be purchased here.

Utako Market

The Utako Market is where you could get things cheaper than most markets in Abuja. The reason is because of the affordable cost of rent in the market and, also, it is closer to where these farm products come from.  You may have a problem with parking space because it is inadequate for the amount of cars polling up at the place. You will find this market Off Obafemi Awolowo Way, behind ABM Plaza in Utako.

Garki Model Market

Garki Model Market is a more modernized market and the crowd control is better. You will see this market in Garki 2.Â
