City Hall, Lagos
ABOUT
City Hall was established in 1900 to serve as the Local Government Secretariat of the past British Lagos Colony. It is situated in the centre of the Lagos Business District. The City was the base of political and administrative duties in the state in the time Lagos served as the capital city of Nigeria. It is the oldest Local Government headquarters in the history of Nigeria. This hall holds great memories of the political, commercial, and cultural story of the old Lagos State.
In March 2007, the City Hall was refurbished to fit the modern standard of architectural designs. Since this renovation was done, the City Hall has been a top site attraction in Lagos State.
