About Mayanka Falls

Mayanka which means Place of execution is located about 2km south west of Suleja town, it is known to very few people. Though the falls has been i existence for over 200 years but people exude fear when they hear of the name mayanka falls because of what it was before it became a tourist centre. It was formerly a place to dish out punishment to criminals. To climb up the hill, you will have to go through shrubs and a rock-laced terrain. Mayanka falls has the potential to be a place where electricity can be generated at a mini hydro power generation level.

Mayanka Falls is located in the North-Central part of Nigeria. This region has just two season which is the dry and rainy season.The rainy season comes from the month of May till early August while the dry season comes from the month of October till April. Usually, between the month of December and February Harmattan come along and it's usually very cold especially at night so it's advisable to go with warm clothings.
