The University of Lagos fondly called Unilag was established on 22nd of October, 1962. The University since its inception has been saddled with the responsibility of intensifying the training of a professional workforce that would bring about rapid change and development to the industrial, economic and political sectors of the nation.

Two (2) in Yaba (Akoka and the recently created campus at the former school of Radiography), and one in Surulere; it’s College of Medicine located in Idi-araba.
