History Of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto  also known as UDUSOK and formerly the University of Sokoto was established in September 1975 as one of the Four Universities established by the then Federal Government of Nigeria. The University was initially sited at the now City Campus and moved out most of its facultues to the permanent site in 1982. It however began its first classes on October 20th 1977 and till date has been producing academicians for the society.
