Warri Township Stadium was established in 1998, Built by in 1998.
This is the home-ground of the Nigerian Premier League team Warri Wolves F.C. It is also marked in the continent's history as the host for the First African Youth Athletics Championship.

This is a multi-purpose stadium with a 30,000 seating capacity used for sports and social events. Boasting an artificial turf with covered stands, it provides an exciting arena for sporting activities while giving the spectators and fans as much comfort as they can hope for.

Nice Things About Place

The stadium has hosted a number of high profile events such as political rallies, the final tournament for the 2006 Women's African Football Championship, the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and many more. International standard track and field facilities were installed in preparation for the 2013 African Youth Athletics Championships where the Timetronics Electronic Distance Measurement system was the first of its kind to be used in the country.
