The Federal Science and Technical College is one of the first nine (9) Federal Technical Colleges established in the year 1988 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It is Scientifically and Technically inclined as part of Government policy to stimulate technological growth in the country. The name was changed to its present status in 2002. The college took off in 1991 with two trades:
a)Electrical Installation and Maintenance b)Carpentry and Joinery.
