Federal Science and Technical College Ahoada was established in September 2002, Built by in September 2002.
The Federal Science and Technical College Ahoada was established with the objectives of providing quality basic education, pre-professional science education and vocational (job specific) education for the production of artisans/operatives, skilled manpower as well as pre-professionals in science and Technology occupation. All the students are in the boarding house and are distributed in four houses namely: Independence, Niger, Rivers, and Unity. Academic programs are run separately in the senior secondary (SS) and Technical (ST) section of the college. It is, therefore, right to state that the college has two schools in one.

The school was established to develop and train people that are skilled in vocational as well as science/technology education. The staff is competent, well trained to provide the best of education to the students.

Operating a day and boarding system, this is an enabling learning and sporting environment with the existence of modern features such as; a Standard library, School media/ICT laboratory, Multipurpose hall, Tuck shops, Standard Football pitch, Badminton, Volley ball court, and Lawn tennis facility. A good and secured housing plan in form of dormitories/hostels is in place to accommodate the boarding students, under the supervision of caring and experienced house masters and mistresses.
