Indian Language School was established in 1982To teach Indians in Nigeria with the Indian curriculum.
The Indian language School is a private co-educational day school operating under the Indian curriculum and culture in Lagos. The school was opened in response to the wishes of the Indian community, so that Indian children living in Lagos, while benefiting from exposure to a foreign culture, would not lose touch with their own. It runs Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools.

The school began as converted residences — with three floors, a playground, a basketball court and a volleyball court. Over the past few years, the school has expanded significantly, acquiring nearby properties, thus catering to the large number of students that enroll with the school each year. It has a well qualified faculty of trained teachers who besides providing academic instruction, are also actively involved in guiding students and organizing co-curricular activities.
Indian expatriates in Nigeria should visit and try enrolling their wards in the Indian international school.
