Catering to residents with various disabilities, the home is equipped with a school, a vocational training centre, a library, a physio-therapy room, a dining hall, a common room and various dormitories. Some of the children attend the school from home while others are in residence. The residents are grouped into different units depending on their level of independence. Formerly run as a private home, it is now owned and managed by the state government. Some of the residents complete their education up to University level, all funded by the state government.
