It currently has six department which are: Department of Agricultural Extension and Management, Crop Production Technology Department, Home and Rural Economics Department, Pest Management Technology Department, Agricultural Technology Department and Animal Health and Production Technology Department.

Niger State College of Agriculture, Mokwa was established in June 1979 as an arm of the Niger State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Similarly in the year 2003 Sandwich/Parttime/Short-term programmes were introduced in various courses of the College.
