The Federal Polytechnic Idah formerly Idah College of Technology, is a federal government-owned tertiary education institution located at Idah Kogi state. It is approved by the National Board for Technical Education. It currently has five schools which are: School of Business Studies, School of Engineering, School of Environmental Studies and School of Technology. It runs program for both part time and full time.
History of Federal Polytechnic, Idah
Federal Polytechnic, Idah was established by the Federal Military Government under Decree No. 33 of July 1979. On Monday, 28th November, 1977, the Institution resumed with eleven academic staff, nineteen senior administrative members of staff, eighty-six supporting members of staff as well as two hundred and twenty pioneer students who were offered admission after an entrace examination.
