History of Abuja Arts and Crafts Village
Established in 2003, the Abuja Arts and Crafts Village was built for the exhibition of Arts and Craft during the commonwealth meeting of various Heads of Government after which it was adapted as a tourist centre by the National Council for Arts and Culture.
Abuja Arts and Crafts Village has grown to be the biggest Art centre in Abuja and one of the most popular tourist attractions. The centre is divided into three sections:
- Visual Arts for paintings, sculptures, ceramics and general aesthetics
- Textile for fabrics and clothing
- Crafts for wood carving, bead making and leather works.
