Named after one-time Archbishop of West Africa, The Most Rev. Lislie Gordon Vining, the church's cosmopolitan disposition has attracted worshipers from diverse genres comprising children, independent youths, working class adults and retired adults.

The ground of the Cathedral is opened every day of the week, starting with a Holy Communion Service at 7am. Tuesdays and Wednesday evening are climaxed with purpose driven, spirit filled and energetic Bible Study sessions and Prayer Meeting sessions respectively. Typical Sunday activities includes 6 different worship services, various society meetings/gatherings and an Evening Service to close the day’s activities.
