About Freedom Square

At the completion of the Freedom Square project which was flagged off in 2015 by Governor Rochas Okorocha, people of Owerri were delighted and claimed the governor had brought London to Owerri. The park embodies freedom and it is one of the only places one can do or say anything without being held accountable. As a result of this, peaceful protests are held intermittently at this venue.
