History of Kamuku National Park

This was built in 1999. It is notable as a wildlife sanctuary.

  • It was upgraded from a state game reserve to a national park in May 1999.

The Kamuku national park is home to a variety of wild life and fauna and was built to preserve rare plant species. The Kamuku people are notable for their pottery, weaving and mat making.
