Reason For Loving Place
This colorfully decorated Palace which was constructed with traditional building materials depict Northern Nigeria's traditional architectural designs dating back to the early 19th century. Housing the traditional head of the Daura Emirate, the palace bears strong cultural significance as the Emirate is seen to be one of the true seven Hausa states. This title comes from legend which says that Bayajidda, a figure from Hausa mythology, killed a snake preventing locals from drawing from a well and the queen of the region married him and gave birth to seven children who became rulers of seven regions; the seven true Hausa States. As the birthplace of Nigerian President Buhari, the palace has received an increased traffic with tourists and political favor-seekers thronging its corridors.
