About Idanre Hills Idanre Hills, also known as Oke Idanre, is located in the quiet town of Idanre local government and paints the landscape with its beauty. It is a cultural, economic and lifestyle lodestone to its community. It has about 667 steps, including five resting points, which are set at about 100 meters apart from each other. You are welcome to climb if you dare.  Idanre hill is one of the most awesome and beautiful natural landscapes in Nigeria and its existence is surrounded by many myths and beliefs of its people. With different stories to be told about the hills, tourists should anticipate hearing and sighting the 9 wonders of Idanre: "Ibi Akaso" (The Steps), The King's Palace, Agboogun’s Legacy, Unreadable signs, Agboogun's footprint, The wonderful mat, "Omi Aopara" (Aopara Water), The Orosun Hill and Arun river.  History of Idanre Hills Reverend Gilbert Carter led the team of missionaries that discovered Idanre hills and introduced it to western civilization in 1894. Idanre people used to live high up on the hills, in an area which is now known as Old Oke-Idanre. History has it that the old Idanre people descended the hills and resettled at the present foothill location of Idanre town. History of Owo museum of antiquities Owo museum of antiquities was built in 1968 to accommodate the antiquities which were formerly in the Olowo Palace. It is notable as the site of significant archaeological and ethnographic material discovered in the Owo area. It was built by the Department of Antiquities of the Nigerian government. Located In the palace of the Olowo monarch, the Owo museum is the link between the past and the present with the aim of passing on history to future generations. History of Cave of Ashes Isarun Cave of Ashes Isarun was discovered in 1922 as a tourist attraction. It was discovered during a hunting expedition. It is notable as one of the key sources of information about the history of West Africa built by Chief Obele. It is called "Iho Eleeru" in Yoruba and its translation is literally Cave of Ashes.  Not many people know that a cave in Ondo played a huge role in the documentation of the archaeological history of West Africa with the discovery of bones of prehistoric man, dated as far back as 9200B.C. The 5 credits must compulsorily be in Mathematics, English and 3 other related subjects. In addition, applicants must register, sit for and attain the prescribed cut-off mark (usually 200) in UTME, and also prepare for a screening process organized by the school. 200 Level (Direct-entry) Students: Applicants must have a National Diploma, which should come from a recognized institution in Nigeria. Applicants are required to have a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in a subject(s) related to the proposed field of study with a minimum of one unit and two (2) passes.
